I'm in the planning stage,...Thank you for this.<br />I'm in the planning stage, and have been ruminating off and on for 6 months. My gelding had a wonderful 3 month in green pastures with his mare driving him.around for daily exercise. <br />Now we've been.back in the city for 5 weeks and in soft sand stall. His arthritis has his steps shortened and his face show pain.<br />He had limited improvement eith a week of Bute.<br />He is now getting the kings treatment as Equine royalty, free roam of the stables where we are for a couple hours a day.<br />Vet is sending 3 weeks of Bute, and I'm.making arrangements to euth him and for pick up. I'd like it if he's here in the deep sand pen. Most folks want me to prolong it but a couple agree. <br />I saw another older horse get cast and then fall hard twice last month, I stayed with her till the vet came. <br />I know I can not put my horse through a traumatic injury eith pain and fear.
